New EP, Gravity (2009), recorded over 3 days at Jack Straw Productions. This is a sneak peek to the full-length album we're working on. 7 songs, all new except an oldie reprise and a tradtional tune we have a great time playing live. There's a limited supply available, so get yours before they're gone! Also available online at Sonic Boom Records.

THE STARLINGS: Marveling the While Marveling the While (2008). Produced by Chad Hinman. With a title inspired by John Steinbeck’s Cannery Row, Marveling the While explores themes of time and duality, opening with the powerful track, "Love and War", the bitter sweetness of life in "Silver Thread," a tribute to a gypsy mother in "Geraldine," and the spooky, panoramic montage of "Honey Creek." Currently out of print, but available in digital download all over the interwebs. Download cards available at live shows.

THE STARLINGS: Songbook Songbook (2006). Produced by Chad Hinman. Debut album, covers a wide terrain of folk and Americana landscapes including the homage paid to elders in the opening track, “Hand to Mouth,” and the wanderer’s story in “Alaskan Fire”. Other stand-outs include the minor-key foot-stompers “Bones to Ashes” and “Rosie,” as well as the elegantly-orchestrated “Sinner’s Glory,” and the old-time sweetness of “Acorn”.
